Dreame not only makes great vacuum robots like the L40 Ultra (test report) or even the X40 Ultra (test report), but also makes excellent vacuum cleaners. The most recently tested H13 Pro model (test report) was largely reliable, but the manufacturer wants to go a step further with the latest H14 generation. The tested H14 Pro combines everything that can currently be imagined in an ideal vacuum mop – at least on paper. In the test, we examined how concrete technical data affects everyday life.

Scope of delivery: What’s included with the Dreame H14 Pro?
Even when assembled, the DreamEye H14 Pro makes a strong impression. The device is constructed of high quality and the individual components can be easily put together. However, with a weight of 5.7 kg, the H14 Pro is not lightweight. What’s even more significant is the caution Dream has taken with the powered “glide wheel” wheels here.
Thanks to an intelligent algorithm, these ensure smooth forward and backward movements, making the H14 Pro surprisingly easy to operate despite its heavy weight. This makes cleaning really comfortable, especially since this support is barely noticeable and therefore does not feel artificial. The practical free-standing function also proves to be very useful in everyday life, allowing you to put the vacuum cleaner down for short periods of time without it falling over. The wiper then sucks up excess moisture for a few seconds to reduce the risk of moisture loss at that location.

One of the main attractions is definitely the ability to fold the H14 Pro down so that it lies completely flat on the ground. Only a few competitors can do this because of the risk of the vacuum cleaner leaking. This can not only cause uninvited disturbances but can also cause damage to the technology. With an overall height of only 14 cm when lying down, you can easily get under most pieces of furniture and clean these areas with ease. To ensure that the body of the device does not get scratched and sensitive wooden floors are not damaged, there is a small roller on the back of the H14 Pro. This means that the vacuum mop does not scratch the floor, but also rolls away when lying down.
The Dreame H14 Pro arrives well protected in a box for the customer. In addition to the vacuum main unit with wiping roller, the scope of delivery includes a replacement roller, charging station, power supply, cleaning brush, replacement filter, cleaning agent concentrate and operating instructions.
Controls: How does the Dreame H14 Pro handle?
The Dreame H14 Pro is controlled via four buttons and a switch on the handle: the power button to turn on and off, the mode button to change the cleaning mode, the cleaning button for roller cleaning at the station and the switch for detergent supply. . At the top of the body there is a stylish display, which, in addition to the battery level and the selected cleaning mode, also provides information about the degree of dirt on the floor using color indicators. The content of the screen depends on whether the device is charging or in use at the station. This means users never have to strain their necks to read content correctly.
Auto mode detects dirt and adjusts suction power automatically. In Ultra mode, electrolytic disinfection of fresh water is activated to eliminate as much bacteria as possible. Vacuum-only mode stops water flow and sucks out liquids – to drain a shower, for example. The DIY mode can be adjusted individually in the app and allows direct intervention on parameters such as suction power, water supply and electrolysis.
App: What can you set?
Until now, apps for vacuum cleaners have been more of a nice gimmick than a useful feature. Things are a little different with the Dreame H14 Pro. A great innovation is the automatic dosing of the cleaning agent. The dispenser can be filled with any type of cleaning fluid through a small flap on the front. It is automatically added to the mopping water in a mixing ratio of 1:200 to 1:30, depending on how dirty the floor is. A really practical function that relieves the user from work and can be switched to “Powerful Stain Removal” in the app.
In the app, the user can also choose the drive strength of the wheels, deactivate the LED light on the mop head and set the language and volume. It also provides information about cleaning procedures, status of consumables, and firmware updates – if updates are not to be received automatically. There are also quick access options for cleaning and drying: users can switch from quick 5-minute drying to a quieter 1-hour drying. Then there’s also the aforementioned DIY mode, which can be set in the app. Even though not all the functions really justify an app, there are some that make using the Dreame H14 Pro easier.
Cleaning: How well does the Dreame H14 Pro wipe?
But let’s get to the most important point: how well does the Dreame H14 Pro clean? To find out, we subjected it to various endurance tests – with impressive results. In our testing, the vacuum cleaner removed coffee stains, ketchup, spilled oatmeal with milk, and dried soil a few times, usually just once, without leaving any residue. Stubborn contaminants like dried ketchup require multiple passes, but this is also the case with the competition.
When it comes to edge cleanliness, the H14 Pro offers a great figure, if not perfect. With edge cleaning on both sides, it gets within a few millimeters of the skirting boards and corners, but not quite. However, overall, rework is hardly necessary here.
The Dreame H14 Pro also puts in a pretty solid performance when it comes to cleaning wiping rollers. With water heated to 60°C and the roller moving back and forth, the base station’s self-cleaning effectively removes even stubborn dirt. After cleaning, the roller dries almost completely in just 5 minutes thanks to a special hot air process. However, it is very fast; We measured 64 dB at a distance of one meter. This roughly matches the Dyson V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (test report) in normal operation. But it will end soon. The fairly quiet drying method achieved about 39 dB in testing, but it takes an hour.
Hot water washing, hot air drying and fresh water electrolysis is a real convenience, hygiene and time saver. This makes the Dreame H14 Pro stand out from the competition as most models offer one or two of these functions, but rarely all three.
Price: How much does the Dreame H14 Pro cost?

Conclusion: Is the Dreame H14 Pro worth buying?
The Dreame H14 Pro offers a true all-round carefree package. Excellent cleaning performance, sophisticated functions for self-cleaning and drying of the rollers, high flexibility due to flat wiping and easy handling due to driven wheels make the H14 Pro the new leader among vacuum mops. This tool does not produce the desired results and sets standards in many areas. Of course, it comes at a proud price of 699 euros in the manufacturer’s RRP, but in relation to similarly expensive models it is well worth it.
