Apple was once a Wi-Fi pioneer with its AirPort base stations, but those days are long gone. In episode 79, Malte Kirchner and Leo Becker discuss with their colleague Johannes Schuster what the differences are between the WLAN standards, how useful a router with a 6GHz frequency band seems for everyday use and why not every Wi-Fi 7 router supports the 6GHz band. We also look at how you can upgrade and extend your existing Wi-Fi at home, for example by using an old Fritzbox as a mesh repeater.
