Weltbild published the corresponding reference on its website last week. Until August 31, users should download their e-books and audiobooks to their PCs via the Tolino web reader and save them there so that they can still access them after the bankruptcy. Alternatively, you can load these locally stored e-books into the Tolino cloud using the Tolino web reader, Weltbild recommends.

in one Separate FAQ Weltbild writes that unsaved content will no longer be downloadable after August 31. There you will also find detailed instructions on the necessary steps: Users must first do this Open Tolino Web Reader in your browser And log in.

Users then log in with their Weltbild customer account and find their content under “My Books” and “My Audiobooks”. The files stored there can be downloaded individually using the three dots below the cover image and saved locally on the PC.

Finally, Weltbild recommends loading the files into the Tolino Cloud so that they can be downloaded from there to tablets, cell phones and e-readers. To do this, you must register with an alternative bookseller in the Tolino web reader and log in with their customer account. From there you can call up a menu to upload your files to the Tolino Cloud. The e-books are also compatible with other readers and PC programs in EPUB format.

Weltbild filed for bankruptcy on 10 June, but the search for an investor failed. According to the Wirtschaftswoche The bookseller Thalia, which once founded the Tolino brand together with Weltbild, now wants to acquire the books, e-books and e-readers product division from Weltbild.
