Skoda has achieved amazing achievements with the Enyaq. Despite problems with the modular electric car platform, which also affected this Volkswagen model, the Enyaq was one of the most popular electric cars in the EU last year. The fact that Skoda has eliminated major vulnerabilities with comprehensive model updates may have contributed significantly to this. The e-SUV charges faster than before, and the infotainment has now reached a level that is not annoying in the least. After updating the technology a year ago, the design has now been revised.

fresh front
Manufacturers sometimes strive for recognition, including Skoda. So the Enyaq has a front that’s reminiscent of the just-introduced smaller Elroq. Whether it’s visually successful or not is certainly seen differently. The headlights move slightly downwards, moving forward a bit to reveal a continuous strip of light. Skoda calls it “tech-deck-face” – an artificial term with no deep meaning.
When the previous and new models are compared directly, small changes in dimensions are noticeable. Front overhang increases by 9 mm from 860. The rear track width has been reduced from 1566 to 1561 mm. Rear approach angle has increased from 16.7 to 18.1 degrees.
There is a difference of a few millimeters in some places in the dimensions between the previous Enyaq (above) and the revised version.

Technology: as usual
However, technically, nothing changes. Both body variants of the Enyaq still have two batteries with energy content of 60 and 77 kWh. They are each connected to an electric motor with a system output of 150 and 210 kW. The 210 kW rear-wheel drive model can charge up to 135 kW, the all-wheel drive model can charge up to 175 kW. Curious: the base model can charge slightly faster with a maximum speed of 77 kW and 165 kW compared to the rear-wheel drive version. The importance of this idea in practice can be seen in the promised charging times ranging from 10 to 80 percent. The basic model fills this gap in 24 minutes under ideal conditions, with the other two models filling in 28 minutes despite differing peak performance.
The battery with the updated cell chemistry, for which VW gives main data of 79 kWh and 185 kW charging power and which is installed in the VW ID.3 GTX, for example, is still not available in the Enyaq. A variant of the Enyaq RS with all-wheel drive and 250 kW will arrive a little later. Important for quick charging even in winter: Battery pre-conditioning is now standard equipment in the Enyaq. Under WLTP terms, Skoda promises a range of 437 km in the base model, with up to 586 km on a single charge being possible with the rear-wheel drive model with the larger battery. The SUV coupe can cover approximately 10 km more distance.

price? Still unclear!
It has not yet been revealed when the revised Enyaq will be available at dealers in Germany. Skoda also did not want to comment in advance on the possible price change. If Skoda CEO Klaus Zellmer announces more extensive standard equipment and new digital features, customers will probably have to expect a small surcharge. However, this is by no means certain on the European 2025 car market. Due to stricter requirements for fleet consumption, manufacturers will have to increase the proportion of electric cars to avoid sensitive fines.
