These are expected to be available by the end of January, after all Apple also released iOS 15.3, iOS 16.3, and iOS 17.3 at that time. This would be a bit unusual, as Apple always released the previous generation iPhone SE in March or April.

Recently there were rumors of change in the name of iPhone SE 4. Apple apparently plans to call it the “iPhone 16e” (with a small “e”) instead. Anyway “SE 4” is just a rumored name; Apple always calls the current generation “iPhone SE”.
What the new models should be able to do
In addition to the iPhone SE 4, the iPad 11 will also be released, which is the next incarnation of the standard tablet model. With that said, more main memory and support from Apple Intelligence can be expected after the form factor adjustment for the iPad 10, with nothing else likely to change. It can also be speculated that Apple will be using its own 5G chip along with its own company’s Bluetooth/WLAN unit for the first time.
The iPhone SE 4 aka 16e gets a new look with Face ID, a notch, and an OLED screen as well as a more modern SoC with Apple Intelligence.
