Laval lamps are creeds. In the 1960s, he was invented by British producer Mathamos, who still sells him in various versions. Mathaos claims its particularly high quality and demands significantly higher prices than copyers. The recipe of liquid in the bottle is secret, in which warm wax grows, cools down and sinks back on the ground. The density, temperature and color choice differentiate here.

Mathaos has been selling a large model in a rocket form called “Rukiit” since 2020. According to the manufacturer, you can order it mainly online shop 375 from Maithos at the cost of pride of euro. But when the lamp is turned on, the fuse is triggered with a large bang. In another attempt with a new lamp (on three), it burned a few minutes before the fuse was triggered again. The integrated switch in the cable was damaged. To get to the bottom of the reason, he closely looked at the base with the lamp. The bracket of halogen light is spoiled there with a reflection screen through two small screw nuts.

The supply line can be seen inside, which is connected to the luminaire through two bright terminals. Small screw, big problem
The power cable is guided by an opening with metal habitat. Another small screw is in this metal crossing, which fixes the power cable. The assembly force at the Mathos plant clearly taunted the metal screw, so that it crushed the insulation and short-circuit the ladder.

Mathamos’ customer aid contacted the next day by the phone registered by the phone and introduced a new lamp base with five replacement lights. The exchange base arrived after about one and a half weeks. Unfortunately, the error was not overcome, but a common problem in production was detected: although the package was unheard of, the basis of the exchange was firmly dent – and the same problem revealed with the first lamp revealed: The metal screw was very tight and was deeply tightened in the insulating layer of the cable. A short circuit is essentially threatened here. If not immediately, then later in everyday use. A careful quality control should have paid attention to mistake and danger.

Now the purchase of private lamp has become a story for C’T.
