Apple is apparently planning this year’s iPhone keynote on September 10. Financial news agency Bloomberg reports this news Quoting informed sources. According to it, Apple’s “biggest product launch event of the year” will include new smartphones as well as new Apple Watch models and new AirPods. The refreshed 16 series iPhones went on sale ten days later, on September 20. September 10 will be a Tuesday – a typical Apple keynote day. September 20 is a Friday, a typical weekday for iPhone launches.

Four new iPhones planned
There was previously speculation that Apple might hold this year’s iPhone keynote on September 3. However, the announcement will probably have already been made. Apple is expected to show off at least four new iPhone models again. iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are apparently planned, with little change in the form factor, but there may be a slight expansion of the screen on the Pro model. Other innovations in the more expensive new iPhones include a “capture” button for faster photography and improved camera functions.
A new titanium exterior color called Bronze is also reportedly planned for the Pro models. All four iPhone 16 devices are compatible with Apple Intelligence. So Apple is planning four new SoCs in the A18 series, with the Pro models receiving the “A18 Pro”. The standard models get more RAM to be able to process Apple Intelligence models “on the device”.
Other new hardware: Watch and AirPods
According to Bloomberg, Apple’s new computer watches are still planned for September 10. The Apple Watch Series 10 is said to be thinner and have a larger screen – possibly in the direction of the Ultra models. Revised SE models reportedly come in plastic. Innovations in the Ultra 3 are still unclear, but may be limited to improvements in the internal workings only.
When it comes to AirPods, there will be two variants of “AirPods 4”. These will replace the AirPods 2 and 3 and will appear with active noise cancellation (ANC) for the first time, at least in the more expensive version. There are also expectations for new AirPods Max with USB-C, although these are not mentioned in the Bloomberg report. As always, Mac and I will report on the Apple keynote with a live ticker.
