With a launch planned in less than three weeks, ‘Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn‘ has kicked off its development process and is set to release on PC and consoles, in addition to Game Pass. To celebrate the event, the developers have released a 20-minute gameplay sequence along with the system requirements for the PC version. The video game is the next title from the developers of ‘Ashen’, a Souls-like game with a unique art style.
More far-reaching titles
But now, A44 Games has completely changed the scope of production with its new project, making it a significantly more ambitious program. The game’s creators classify it as “Souls-lite,” that is, it fulfills the playable bases of a “Soulslike” but does not include all the elements of the genre. One of these factors is the combat style, which is less demanding than a typical “Souls” game, although it maintains a high level of challenge.
The video game puts us in the shoes of Nor Vanek, a member of the Alliance forces, accompanied by a man called Enki, who seeks revenge on the gods. “The gateway to the Great Abyss has opened and with it, the gods and their dormant hosts. The lands of Kian are under siege and the city of Alba is on the verge of expulsion. Now it is the turn of the Alliance forces to take up arms. Gather revenge, gunpowder and magic during your legendary quest to overthrow the gods, close that gateway and reclaim the world, ”states the synopsis of the video game.
