this year it will be WeAreDevelopers World Congress in Berlin on July 18 and 19. The organiser is the Vienna IT job platform WeAreDevelopers, which includes Heise. The major developer conference in 2023 had around 12,000 visitors on site. Heise will have its own platform on site for the second time: the Heise Developer Zone.

Selected speakers from the iX and dpunkt.verlag conferences will be represented there – namely Heize Devecek, EnterJS, Machines mastering the mind, betterCode() Java And bettercode() Rust. They present their topics in 30-minute lectures, covering artificial intelligence including large language models (LLM), automated testing, maintainability and security. There will also be two panels on software development and security topics in Europe.

“We What a developer!” Supplement
In collaboration with WeAreDevelopers, Heise c’t and iX publish the supplement “We Are Developers!”. The Spring 2024 edition will be available in printed form at the congress and as a free PDF file in the iX download area.
From the perspective of “young professionals writing for young professionals”, other interested parties are invited to apply to become authors by emailing the editorial team – as well as in person at the WeAreDevelopers World Congress.
