There was a time when subscribing to Apple TV+ was a negligible expense: after a sometimes long free period, you only had to pay 4.99 euros per month if you did not opt for an annual subscription straight away. But after several price hikes the cost has now almost doubled to 9.99 euros. It’s still cheaper than Netflix, but the service lacks the extensive back catalog of the competition. You can now get TV+ for a short time at (almost) the old price: Telekom is currently running an advertising campaign together with Apple.

The improved “SmartStream 2.0” subscription with Netflix and Disney entry-level subscriptions (with advertising) costs 17 euros per month from the 7th month, with a total duration of 24 months. Also with internet if needed
Magenta TV otherwise has around 180 TV channels, of which 150 are in HD. Also integrated is a “Magenta TV+” media library, which is supposed to be inclusive, the ability to watch TV with a time delay (100 hours of recording storage), three parallel streams at the same time and an integrated RTL+ Premium (also with Smart 2.0 subscription). Disney and Netflix are also available without advertising for an additional fee.
The tariff can also be booked flexibly, but then the package has fewer features, such as no RTL+ Premium and smaller recording memory. Telekom also sells MagentaTV as part of its own internet packages with different tariff levels.
