The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 is not coming, but the Tab S10 series is. Samsung has canceled the smallest model without replacing it and is leaving it with two new Android tablets: the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S10+. Both have a lot to offer.
The new Galaxy tablets are extremely flat. Without the camera, Samsung specifies a “thickness” of 5.6 millimeters for the Tab S10+ and 5.4 millimeters for the Tab S10 Ultra. The edges around the 12.4 and 14.6-inch displays are only a few millimeters thin; they only have a small bulge around the 12-megapixel front camera. The aluminum housings are protected according to IP68, so the tablets can get dirty or wet from time to time. The front protects Gorilla Glass 5 from scratches. The Tab S10 Ultra weighs about 720 grams, the S10+ weighs 570 grams.
The displays on both tablets are OLED panels with flexible refresh rates ranging from 60 to 120 Hz. The larger Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels, while the slightly smaller S10+ has a resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels. You can not only swipe around on the touchscreen with your finger, but also use the S Pen. The pen is also included with both tablets. It docks magnetically on the back and charges inductively there.
Mediatek instead of Qualcomm or Exynos
Unlike their predecessors, the new tablets are not powered by Qualcomm processors, but by MediaTek chips. The Dimensity 9300+, which is also in the Xiaomi 14T, offers comparable performance in benchmarks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Samsung promises 17 percent more computing power and 30 percent more graphics power and 12 percent more AI than the Tab S9 Ultra. Performance is available for tasks. With a new, enlarged vapor chamber you want to keep waste heat under control. Detailed testing will surely show whether this is successful or not. In a short time, both tablets made a generally fast impression; we did not notice any delays, loading pauses or stutters. The battery capacity of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is 11,200 mAh, while that of the S10 + is barely 10,090 mAh. Both charge exclusively via a cable with a maximum of 45 watts.
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is available in three storage variants: 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB and 12 GB/1 TB. Samsung does not offer a larger version of the Galaxy Tab S10+. Both tablets have a slot for a microSD card and optional 5G support. The Tab S10 Ultra works with Wifi 7 at close range, while Wifi 6E is sufficient for the S10+. The main camera has a 13-megapixel sensor, the ultra-wide-angle camera takes photos at a maximum of 8 megapixels.

If desired, Samsung’s tablet software turns Android almost into a desktop operating system. In DeX mode, which you can start with the keyboard and/or mouse even without an external display, working on the go is quite pleasant. The system is based on Android 14, and Samsung promises updates for seven years. It also includes Galaxy AI, whose functions can be turned on and off individually. Exciting for pen artists: The AI creates almost artworks from scribbles, with just a few strokes, and in a variety of styles.
The range of accessories includes different covers and cases for the tablet. Pre-orderers will receive the Smart Book Cover Slim with Keyboard at no additional cost, for which Samsung usually charges less than 100 euros.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ costs 1,119 or 1,239 euros in the WiFi version depending on the storage. With 5G it’s 150 euros more each. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra starts at 1,339 euros with WiFi and smaller storage, while the top model with 5G and 1 TB burns a hole in your wallet at 1,909 euros.
