Nintendos switch 2 will be launched on 5 June. Nintendo announced this on a live stream on Wednesday afternoon. Japanese were still silent about the price of the upcoming hybrid console.
For the first time, Nintendo unveiled hardware information about Switch 2. The integrated switch 2 is 7.9 inches in screen size and has full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels). The maximum fresh rate is 120 Hz – a larger step compared to 60 Hz, which was maximum possible in the previous switch. The LC display also supports HDR. Nintendo does not offer an OLED version. Nintendo Switch 2 4K resolution can be output with the underlying fan through the new dock. Nintendo did not give any information about the processor and its graphic performance, but the trailers were recognized significant graphics improvements compared to the first switch.
New Joy-CON and more space
Otherwise, Nintendo has done some work on the ergonomics of the hybrid console and for example, enlarged the sticks. The thickness of the console has not changed compared to the switch, but Audio Playback: Nintendo has promised to improve speakers with 3D audio support. Practical: Switch 2 can be charged through a total of two USB-C slots-one, which is one above.
Nintendo has greatly increased the internal storage space: Switch 2 has 256 GB for games and apps. It can only be expanded with microSD-express card, not normal microSD cards are compatible. Nintendo wants to offer a data transfer that can be used to transport game data from switch to switch 2.
Switch 2 Nestle on Housing supports Joy-Con magnetically and a mouse mode with which some games can be controlled. In addition, Nintendo wants to offer a new Pro Controller with the first headphone socket.
Gamechat makes the switch 2 more social
The new simple inscription on the Console and on the Pro Controller for Switch 2 is a button with “C”: it controls the functions of the new gameChat system of the nintendo. Nintendo includes various social functions from voice chats to the integration of players in online games.

Software’s exclusive game

Recently, Nintendo has announced the expansion of the Nintendo Switch online database: subscribers will especially be able to play several gamecube titles on the switch, including “The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Weaker”. In addition, a gamecube retro controller for Switch 2 is to be released.
Nintendo had already unveiled Switch 2 in January. At that time there were pictures of video snipet and new hybrid console, but all types of prices and technical data still kept secret. With 146 million copies sold, the Nintendos switch is one of the most successful game console ever. Only Nintendo DS family and Playstation 2 were sold even more often. Finally, the switch slowed significantly – probably because many fans already calculated firmly with a successor.
