Mac mini to take with you: new bag for M4

0

Transporting a desktop Mac has never been easier than it is today: Last year, Apple made its smallest desktop computer mini again with the Mac mini M4. San Francisco bag and accessories specialist Waterfield Design is now taking this as an opportunity to introduce its own transport case for the smallest Mac. So, for example, if you want to take your Mac Mini M4 from office to home or from home to office, you can now keep it well protected.

The product lives up to its name Shield Case for Mac Mini And clearly suits the size of the M4 model. It is padded on the sides, base and lid and covered with “ultra-soft” material on the inside. Two variants are offered: one in simple black “ballistic” nylon with black leather accents across the top and one in waxed canvas with Waterfield Design’s trademark chocolate leather.

The case has a carry ring, but does not come with a carry loop for a carabiner. Accordingly, the cover is intended for transportation in a backpack or other bag. A small area on the front with a zipper can be used to “discreetly” hide the AirTag so that the bag can be found again if necessary.

YKK waterproof zippers are also fitted, which can be secured with a small padlock. The zippers are placed in such a way that they don’t scratch the Mac Mini. On the face of it, the case is quite simple and minimalistic; Especially the black nylon version looks very inconspicuous. However, the Mac mini M4 also has a distinctive shape that connoisseurs will be able to spot from a distance. Nice detail: On the outside of the case there is a slot for the Mac mini M4’s power cable. Fortunately, compact Macs don’t require a power supply.

Shield Case for Mac Mini – interestingly, it doesn’t have M4 in the name, but only it fits – Waterfield Design costs $99 plus shipping and import sales tax, if applicable. The manufacturer sells directly from its website. The first batch is currently sold out, but the second batch is scheduled to be distributed from January 24.
