Online workshop on 22nd November
A full day online workshop on this topic will be held on November 22, 2024 “Securely operate containerized applications” By and with Arne Blankaerts (thePHP.cc). The workshop is aimed at people who regularly deploy software, especially PHP applications.
Arne Blankaerts developed IT solutions years ago that were far ahead of their time. He helps create sustainable software and specialized infrastructure and finds security holes with almost magical intuition.
The focus is on deploying PHP applications in containers without the use of Kubernetes, the cloud, or complex build pipelines. Participants learn how to automatically pack a PHP application into a container image and copy it and its database to a server and activate it – without “root” rights.
This workshop provides practical insight into containerized application delivery. Previous knowledge of containers, GitLab, GitLab CI, and Linux is an advantage, but not required.
