Apple has started pre-selling the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max today. The Apple online store will open at 2 pm and will accept pre-orders. What the new iPhones can do
iPhone 16 and 16 Plus come with the new A18 SoC, improved (and differently oriented) camera, new “Camera Control” button and action buttons. Wi-Fi 7 is now supported and there are several new (stronger) colors. On the iPhone Pro, the screen grew from 6.1 to 6.3 inches diagonal, and on the iPhone Pro Max from 6.7 to 6.9 inches. At the same time, the number of pixels increased from 2556 × 1179 to 2622 × 1206, or from 2796 × 1290 to 2868 × 1320 pixels, and the edges became narrower.
Here too the camera controls, improved image sensors (ultra wide angle now also with 48 megapixels) and a 5x telephoto lens in both models instead of just the Max have changed the battery structure and offer a little more juice The iPhone 16 Pro Max is the longest-lasting Apple smartphone ever. Thanks to the A18 Pro, the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max offer new functions in the video sector, including 4K120, where you can also activate slow motion in the latter. Both A18 SoCs are said to improve performance by up to 30 percent. The Pro devices have one more GPU core.
