If you currently have a problem with Apple’s iPhone vehicle integration carplay, you should import the latest iOS updates immediately. With the iOS 18.4.1, which was released last week, Apple not only saves a significant security -political patch – a certain interval has already been attacked – but also the difficulties in the car in the car that took place in March after the release of iOS 18.4.
Justified performance
Problems were expressed in the fact that in some vehicles iOS was no longer able to contact the car entertainment system. Audis, Nissan, VWS and Mazdas were impressed – although it was not about all models. The common thing in problems is that most of the (also) instrument clusters have the option to display advertisements or use wireless carplays, ie a wireless connection for iPhone without USB-C and/or Lightning cable.
Apple had never officially commented on the problem, but the notes released from iOS 18.4.1 wrote that “a rare problem that prevents wireless carplay in some vehicles”. It is still not yet clear whether there is a fix for users who had similar problems with cable connections, although it should have been comparatively rarely. Meanwhile, it helped completely remove the connection and configure it.
Really tall beta phase
CarPlay Bugs did not see as part of the long beta phase of iOS 18.4, only users complaints with public release. Unfortunately, this has happened more often recently – even under McOS. Apple now leads great beta stages with both developers and public (within the structure Public beta program) Through. Users are encouraged to report problems through a response assistant, although rarely interrogation and/or notes come when solving a problem.
As mentioned, users who have problems with carplays should simply bring their iPhone to iOS 18.4.1. If there are still problems later, it is recommended to remove the carplay connection (if possible both in the iPhone and the car) and then to configure it again. The iOS 18.4 also brings some positive aspects to the carplay, depending on the screen – more icon on a screen, which can reduce the scroll emergency.
