The new Eureka Stylus Elite not only aims to vacuum powerfully and consistently without a power cable, but also vacuums up dirt completely automatically. Testing shows how well it works.
For most people, vacuuming is not one of their favorite household tasks. It is even more important that the vacuum cleaner makes the job as easy and effective as possible. The new Eureka Stylus Elite promises exactly that: thanks to the strong suction power, wireless freedom and self-draining suction station, it should make cleaning floors child’s play. Our detailed testing shows whether the device delivers on what the manufacturer promises.
With a powerful motor of 350 watts and suction power of 130 air watts, it can remove even stubborn dirt with ease. Due to the removable battery that lasts up to 60 minutes, it is suitable even for large apartments. The automatic suction station promises particularly clean handling.
Design and equipment
When unpacked, the Eureka Stylus Elite makes a high-quality impression. In addition to the main tool, the scope of delivery includes a suction station for the station, a crevice tool, an upholstery brush and two dust bags. This is a significantly lesser device than competing models like the Dreame Z30 (test report); Eureka’s delivery scope is limited to essentials.
In terms of design, the black and silver vacuum cleaner impresses with an elegant, slim look that is brightened up by some purple accents. The most striking thing is the design of the handle, which is different from most of the competitors. It is placed behind the body of the vacuum cleaner, not at the bottom, and sweeps in a wide arc across the top of the device. Controls are also installed there, including a power button, mode selector switch and a short, long as an indicator for the three available suction modes (white = standard, blue = turbo, off when the vacuum cleaner is running) ,Includes colored LEDs. = Echo) and two dot LEDs are present as battery indicators. On the front and top of the body is a slider to remove the dirt container, and at the very front and top of the dirt container is a button to open the container. However, you should usually not use the latter, since the vacuum cleaner automatically empties the container in the given suction station. The battery is inserted directly under the handle. Great: If it wears out or performance degrades, it can be easily replaced.
Eureka Stylus Elite in testing
With a weight of around 3 kg (without base), the cordless vacuum cleaner is easy to handle. The LED lighting on the nozzle is also practical, helping to locate dirt hiding in dark corners. However, we missed one performance. The suction station ratio is almost the same as that of a MIDI PC which is much smaller. The holding rod for the vacuum cleaner is inserted in the middle. It has a funnel on which the dirt container of the vacuum cleaner is placed, as well as a switch to start the suction and two holders for the only accessories. The extraction has a flap on the left behind which the HEPA filter is hidden, an indicator on the top left showing when the inserted dust bag is full and a flap on the right behind which the bag is located. One has already been put into the factory.
cleaning performance
In practical tests, the Eureka Stylus Elite impressed with good performance. Weighing around 3 kg and with a flexible suction head, the Eureka Stylus Elite can be operated very comfortably. Even long sucking is not strenuous due to the good balance of the vacuum cleaner. Large wheels and swivel joints ensure stable and dynamic operation. This gives a particularly good figure, especially on hard floors. Thanks to the 350-watt motor and a maximum of 130 air watts, the suction power is more than enough to reliably remove general household dust, crumbs, etc., even at the Eco level. However, the LEDs on the floor nozzle are a bit weak and are another limitation.
The motor brush on carpet quickly becomes a bit annoying – even on medium length floors. In fact – at least it feels like it – it slows down so much that you essentially switch to turbo mode. The vacuum cleaner actually does this independently because it has an automatic system for regulating the suction power. There’s still nothing to complain about when it comes to cleaning results, and the motor brush didn’t really stop in testing. The tortured tone of the slow introduction does not seem believable.
The Stylus Elite also has no problem with animal hair. It is equipped with a special anti-tangle technology that prevents hair and fibers from getting tangled in the brush roll. This not only saves time while cleaning the brushes, but also ensures that the suction power does not reduce during operation. In testing, the system worked perfectly – even cat or human hair caused no problems.
The included crevice tool and upholstery brush are useful accessories for cleaning upholstery, mattresses, and other surfaces, but we missed a small motorized upholstery or mitt nozzle. Due to the lack of additional accessories like a variable joint, the Eureka Stylus Elite is difficult to place under furniture.
The volume is decent for such a powerful vacuum cleaner. With around 76 dB at the highest level, the Stylus Elite certainly isn’t quiet, but it’s in the middle zone compared to other cordless vacuum cleaners in this class. The echo level remains pleasantly quiet at 65 dB for occasional use. It’s really quiet with the Xiaomi G20 Max (test report).
More comfort due to suction station
One of the highlights of the Stylus Elite is the included suction station, which empties the vacuum cleaner’s dirt container after each use if desired. The emptying process starts with the press of a button and takes about 10 seconds. With a noise level of no more than 80 dB, this process is relatively loud – this is something you should take into account, especially when used in apartment buildings, at least at night. The suction is not only very comfortable, but also particularly hygienic as you are not exposed to dust. With a filter system, the Eureka Stylus Elite is particularly suitable for people suffering from household dust allergies or asthma.
In operation, the Eureka Stylus Elite scores points with a 5-stage system with a HEPA filter. According to the manufacturer, 99.97% of particles up to 0.3 micrometers in size are filtered from the air. The filter can be easily washed under running water.
The station has a capacity of approximately 3 liters and therefore provides enough capacity for approximately 60 days of continuous use (depending on the degree of contamination). An LED on the device signals when the bag is full and needs to be replaced. Another one is already included in the scope of delivery, after which you will have to buy another one.
Battery
It is practical in that the battery can be easily removed and charged separately if necessary. In case of a malfunction or if cleaning takes longer, you can easily purchase and use another battery. A second battery is unnecessary, at least in our opinion. In testing, the maximum battery life of about 60 minutes in Eco mode is enough to clean 140 square meters at a time. As expected, run time at the highest level is significantly reduced to around 20 minutes. However, it’s perfectly adequate for most homes and is also a good value compared to the competition.

conclusion
The Eureka Stylus Elite is an overall successful cordless vacuum cleaner that impresses with good cleaning performance, high ease of use and a practical suction station. Plus, the battery life is exemplary.
However, the device comes with few accessories (besides the suction station), and the suction head’s motor-driven brush quickly feels like it wants to stop at the carpet—even though it didn’t in testing.
