Microsoft has released the latest release of its development environment Visual Studio 2022. Version 17.11 includes, among other things, updates for the AI assistant GitHub Copilot, debugging, game development, and .NET and C# development. All changes in this release – fixes, improvements, and features – should be based on community feedback. AI provides explanations and suggests breakpoints
The AI assistant GitHub Copilot regularly receives new features in Visual Studio 2022, for example it can create Git commit messages since version 17.9. This version also includes some novelties.
As one of the new features, GitHub Copilot is now integrated into the tooltip when hovering over symbols to display an AI-generated summary of the selected symbol: by clicking tell me moreThe options,documentation appears in the hover tooltip. This feature is available to C# and C++ developers.

Anyone who uses GitHub Copilot in the Enterprise edition can now also benefit from the fact that the assistant’s answers take into account the context of the entire repository and Bing search results.
Other new features in version 17.11 of the IDE include managing NPM packages in Solution Explorer and an update to Resource Explorer for better resource management for .NET. Expanded support and optimizations for ARM64 are aimed at making debugging easier on additional devices.
