Destination wedding photography differs from classic wedding photography primarily because of the location of the wedding ceremony. Rockstein travels to dreamy destinations around the world for his work, from the beaches of the Seychelles to the waterfalls of Iceland. This trend has become increasingly established among couples with essential changes over the last 15 to 20 years. If you can, you can combine your wedding with your favorite venue.

But planning such weddings is complex and requires a high level of organization, even for booked photographers. Paul Rockstein, who is responsible for logistics among other things, explains that factors such as sun position, altitude differences and even work permits abroad must be taken into account. Timing is especially important during wedding season, as photographers often photograph multiple weddings in different countries simultaneously.
