Bosch has donated an update to version 1.26.9 to his “Abike Flow” app. The app for Android and iOS can now manage six different e-bikes in an account. So far, only one electric bike per account has been administered with the flow app. Bosch also made the surface of the app clear.
Till now, cyclists had a problem if they had many e-bikes with a bosch’s smart system: they could only administration of an electric bike with the flow app. It was also not possible to manage many e-bikes from family members. Each family member needed his own account and his own flow app on his own smartphone.
Management of many e-bikes
With flow updates on version 1.26.9, many e-bike owners with bosch’s smart system are now easy to switch from one electric bike to another. To do this, you only have to register the new e-bike in the flow app. A list can then be displayed via a button on the top of the home screen (small symbol with a bicycle), through which the bikers can switch back and forth between the electric bicycle. As before, you can make all the settings on the bike. It also works when several bicycles of a family are registered. Functions such as updating the smart system over-the-air (OTA) and the use of theft protect “Abike lock” are still possible for each individual e-bike.
However, there is a negative aspect: all the activities of all electric bikes flow into the data registered in the account. It is good if you manage many self-use e-bikes, it becomes misleading when e-bike is administered by many family members. Then they have no access to their own performance observation.
Rapid access to settings
Bosch explained the surface to some extent. Settings can now be rapidly accessible through their own button on the top right (gear symbol). Earlier, they hid in the depth of the menu bar and therefore required “menu diving”. The profile settings are now summarized under “profile”. It also includes all settings of paid subscription of flow+functions.
Users of an electric “ashf” circuit of TRP can now take your TRP switching lever as a component in the digital “Abike pass” of the flow app. It gives bikers a better observation of all the components of their e-bikes.
Version 1.26 Flow App is now available for Android and iOS. The new version available to all users may take some time under Android.
