BMW IX facelift: technically equipped – and soon back

On the outside, BMW changed only a few details to the colossus by large -scale. The new class will only introduce much more in this regard. It is based on another platform that brings 800 volt voltage levels. The charging capacity should be at least 250 kW, and not only a narrow window in any way. Among other things, Audi presented the Q6 E-Tron in this regard last year, and BMW will hardly be behind it.

Only 11 kwac-acor is unchanged in two less powerful drives. A charger with 22 kW is sufficient only in the top model without any extra fee. It is a matter of shame for those who want to load or even load on a broad 22 kwac column and is an inault seller. In 1200 euros, this particularly bravery price, on the other hand, lies in the 3800 euro innovation package, which will probably order many IX customers anyway.

All variants gained more power, and upgrading here is also the most expensive. Now 300 kW system output means an increase of 60 kW. It should be more clearly felt in everyday life than a plus of 15 or 30 kW in XDRIVE60 and M70 xDrive, which are available up to 400 and 485 kW after model maintenance. The force that works here is only visible when driving performance, sports cars were seen brilliantly, which was seen against the backdrop of the public set in speed here. BMW does not increase the model maintenance of the infotainment system for the latest software platforms. It lives with OS8.5, which does not change the first surface. It is also clear that BMW did not want to make a big effort during the IX modification. In some BMW models, customer is capable of riding highly automated driving at level 3 from previous year. Then he should be able to handle vehicle management within a certain period, but until then – in the exactly defined landscape – can leave to drive the car. Within the limit limit, a properly equipped model alone manages all conditions, and the manufacturer is responsible for it. IX cannot do this for an additional fee. The driver is always responsible here.

What IX can do, about the recognition of gaze is a supporting change of lane on the highway. If the driver appears in one of the outer mirrors, after recognizing the need to replace the car, the system does the rest. We tried this in some test cars and allowed BMW to certify: in a 530E that we did in the editorial team in Autumn 2024, it worked a little better than an i5 that with us a year ago Was. IX will probably process it quite properly and thus the autonomous driving leads to at least one piece.

Entry -Level model Xdrive45 costs 83,500 euros and already a grand standard tool. With a little careful, at least this version is less than 95,000 euros. He planned as an upper limit for 0.25 percent regulation, which can no longer be vocal after the initial end of the current federal government. Perhaps the next government will also resume here, possibly also retrospective, because the first three -alliance at the federal level intended.
