Apple’s AirTags are everywhere now: the Bluetooth and ultra-wideband trackers are comparatively cheap, compact, long-lasting and can detect their position almost anywhere, as long as an Apple device is nearby. However, the candy-like devices are unsuitable for a specific application: they are difficult to fit in a wallet. So some users keep them in the coin box, where the AirTags add a bit of bulk. Belkin, a Foxconn subsidiary famous for Apple accessories, has now added a slide-in card to its range.

Flexible in your wallet
“Secure Wallet Insert for AirTags” Very simple: it is a card-sized plastic block with a space left on the left side to insert the AirTag. The material is kept as flat as possible (6mm thick) and is designed to fit “in the narrowest wallet”. The polyurethane-based thermoplastic used is also flexible. The idea is not fundamentally new: Nomad already offered a similar AirTag case for your wallet years ago. The difference, however, is that this one is a little thicker and less flexible.

Belkin would like $10 plus shipping for its Secure Wallet Insert for AirTags. A pack of two costs $15. The case is currently not available in the German Belkin online store, but that is likely to change in the coming weeks. According to the manufacturer, the weight is five grams. The base material should consist of recycled plastic.
Options Available
When the Nomad AirTag Case for Wallets was released, there was no option: at the time, you had to integrate the AirTag this way if you didn’t want to keep it loose in your wallet. However, there are now very narrow, credit card-sized “Where is it?” trackers from various providers. It started with provider Chipolo, which launched its own solution, the Card Spot, to the market in 2022. The disadvantage of this device, however, is that it has an integrated battery Don’t exchange (or don’t charge fees) Let us go.
Modern versions of such “Where is it?” cards, which also have a Qi charging function, are a better solution. And if you like it on the cheap, you can even print out such a map, which can be found on platforms like Thingiverse Some clever versions for home 3D printers,
