The first beta of Apple Intelligence has been in use for about two weeks. Although central functions such as the announced image generation – including “Zenmojis” – are still missing, the AI functions for text work are already fully and deeply integrated into the operating system – even if only in English. Within the EU, Apple Intelligence is only available in the beta of macOS 15.1; these features are currently blocked in iOS and iPadOS 18.1.

In episode 78, Malte Kirchner and Leo Becker talk about their experiences with the beta of Apple Intelligence on the Mac. It’s about the utility factor that AI brings, as well as the fundamental questions that technology raises – especially when it is so deeply integrated into the operating system. We are also concerned about Siri, the voice assistant system that has a new user interface but the problems are the same old. And of course, anecdotes about the absurd failures of Apple Intelligence should not be missing.

Data leak: Episodes of Netflix and Crunchyroll series already leaked online
