The T series is the halfway point between Xiaomi’s flagship models. The new 14T and 14T Pro models are just below the luxury class in terms of equipment, but they also cost a little less.

Xiaomi charges between 14 and 800 euros for the 1000T Pro depending on the memory size. There is a difference of 100 euros between the versions with 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB and all of them have 12 GB of RAM. Initially, Xiaomi is offering the largest model with 1 TB of internal storage for only 900 euros. At the market launch Xiaomi will add a tablet on top if you order by October 11, the Redmi Pad Pro in fact has an RRP of 300 euros. It is available in stores for about 225 euros.

The Xiaomi 14T Pro has a MediaTek processor. The eight-core Dimensity 9300+ has four powerful Cortex-X4 computing cores on board, one of which is clocked at a maximum of 3.4 GHz and the rest at up to 2.85 GHz. There are also four Cortex-A720s. MediaTek has also completely eliminated the energy-saving efficiency cores here. The chip offers very high performance; in most benchmarks it is on par with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The 14T Pro’s display measures 6.67 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The maximum refresh rate is 144 Hz. We were unable to measure the maximum brightness of up to 4000 cd/m² specified by Xiaomi, but at around 1500 cd/m² the screen is very bright even in regular operation and is easy to read in all positions. There are no rounded edges on both the 14T Pro and 14T, which have the same display, the displays are completely flat;

The 14T Pro cameras were developed in collaboration with Leica. The rear system consists of a main camera with a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 900 sensor, a 50-megapixel triple telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle. On the front is a 32-megapixel selfie camera. As usual, the 5000 mAh battery is permanently installed and is charged via a cable at a maximum of 120 watts and wirelessly at up to 50 watts, but only with the Xiaomi charging station. The body of the 14T Pro is made of glass held together by a metal frame.

The Xiaomi 14T costs 650 euros with 12/256 GB, and if you want twice as much internal storage, you will have to pay 700 euros. The lower price is already evident from the outside; the 14T has a frame made of plastic instead of metal. If you order by October 11, the 14T will also include the Redmi Pad Pro at no extra charge. Xiaomi no longer has chargers in the box, but you can order them at the symbolic price of 99 cents.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra in the smartphone is a quarter to a third less than the 9300+ in benchmark values. Still, the 14T runs fast in daily use and can handle high-resolution videos and games as well. The battery capacity of the 14T is also 5000 mAh, but it charges only with a cable and a maximum of 67 watts. The main camera also has 50 megapixels, but a different sensor than the Pro, namely the Sony IMX906. The focal length of the 50 megapixels is slightly shorter than that of the Pro (50 instead of 60 mm). The ultra wide angle and front camera are the same as the Pro.

Both smartphones run Android 14 in a Xiaomi variant called HyperOS. Worth noting: Xiaomi ships both smartphones with a lot of bloatware, and many more apps pre-installed than other devices in this price range. Xiaomi has promised to send updates to the device for five years.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip has already been presented in China in July and is now also available in Germany. The small foldable costs 1,300 euros and is the first foldable smartphone that Xiaomi is officially bringing to Germany. The Flip has an almost square display with a diagonal of 4 inches on the outside, and a foldable screen with a diagonal of 6.86 inches and a resolution of 2912 x 1224 pixels is hidden inside. The Flip, which weighs about 190 grams, is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and has 12/512 GB of memory. There are also Leica cameras here, the skin camera and the ultra wide angle have sensors with 50 megapixel resolution. The Mix Flip has a battery with a capacity of 4780 mAh and also runs Android 14 and HyperOS.
