N1x Ultra Smart Ring Nexting in Testing
Exact pulse measurements, long battery life and testing with broad trekking function are expected to be era-fit, but also a weakness.
Smart ring has increased rapidly as an alternative to a traditional fitness tracker from last year. They are very compact, inconsistent and can catch health data around the clock. Austrian company, era-fitted nextrings are also in this category.
The smart ring offers exact pulse measurements, long battery life and wide tracking functions for life and activities and sleep monitoring. But how does it work in everyday life? We show it in our detailed testing of Nexting.
Design and comfort
The nextrings are made of metal and of high quality. The internal area with the sensor is sealed by plastic, which means that the ring is waterproofing – even up to a depth of 50 meters. It is also suitable for swimming, snorkeling and diving.
The size is unusual: the outdoor surface is circular, but lasts until a pointed survey. This gives it a striking design and leads to a practical side effect that can be seen immediately on the finger. If the tip points upwards, the sensors are correctly on the bottom of the finger.
The correct seat is important for accurate measured values. The sensor must be inside the finger to better measure the blood flow. The manufacturer recommends wearing a ring on the index finger of the non -distressed hand. Alternatively, medium or ring fingers are also suitable because the difference in measuring accuracy is minimal. In the trial we mainly used middle and ring finger. To determine the correct size, the manufacturer provides a test kit. A total of nine sizes are available from 6 to 14. In the test, the ring was worn on the middle and the ring finger.
However, there is also a disadvantage in the design: Nexting is comparatively thick and chunky. Anyone who is not wearing the ring may initially get upset – especially at night when they are sleeping when they pay attention between the fingers. This can be uncomfortable, for example, when the hands are locked in the fist or the fingers are placed together. Other smart rings of our tests looked slightly thin and more convenient.
The radius of delivery includes a small plastic case including a lid and a USB-C on the USB-A cable on the USB-C. A power supply is not included, a USB a connection with a commercially available smartphone charger is suitable. There is a USB-C slot in the case of ring.

Establishment and App
Once the ring is charged, you download the Nexting app and then couple it with the ring. Then install any firmware updates and then start straight. The Nexting app is successful and clearly designed.
On the home page, there are health trends, sleep, activity, balance (stress measurement) -cards on the heart rate and SPO2. If you tap on one of the cards, a detailed evaluation of the concerned area opens with a performance day, week, or a performance after a month. Another rider offers a health observation that summarizes the current day activity, last night’s sleep, current pulse, blood oxygen saturation and cardiac rate variability (HRV). All setting options can be found under the profile tab.
Work and tracking
Nextrning completes the same functions as a fitness tracker (leaderboard). He attracts activities in the form of counting stages and approximate calories consumption. It also measures the pulse, blood oxygen saturation (SPO2) and cardiac rate variability (HRV) and analyzes sleep.
HRV measures ups and downs between the heartbeat in the millisecond and acts as an indicator of the adaptability of the autonomic nervous system. A high HRV is associated with good recovery and heart health, while low HRVs may indicate stress, exaggeration or health problems. The ring also measures skin temperature and shows striking changes.
A measurement of vo2max can also be done here. This value indicates how much oxygen can absorb and use during intensive physical activity. It is given in ml of oxygen per minute and kilogram body weight (mL/min/kg) and serves as an indicator of endurance performance and normal heart health. The measurement requires a ten -minute rapid walk, while the ring collects data. Smartphone GPS should be activated.
Another rider of the app is dedicated to sports. As training profiles, running, walking, cycling, breathing training and a complete body workout are available. The heart rate measurement is surprisingly accurate to a smart ring – the manufacturer specifies an accuracy of about 90 percent, provided that the ring sits correctly and is not worn very relaxed. First and most important, nextrings for endurance training. During power training, however, chunky ring bothers, especially if you train with dumbbells.
In the test, we have compared the measured values for indoor cycling with a swin 800ic (test report) and in aerobic training with Huawei Watch Fit 3 (test report). The deviations were minimal, both in average and maximum pulse. This is impressive, because many other rings from our tests were mainly in difficulties in firmly greed when it comes to high weight. Step count also seemed commendable and usually gets distracted by a maximum of 10 percent from Smartwatch.
Sleep analysis
We sleep, perhaps the most interesting area of the application of a smart ring. With smartwatch, sleep is also divided into different stages: light sleep, deep sleep, ram and waxing or a small nap. In addition, Nextring also has a heartbeat and blood oxygen in sleep.
The results appear to be extremely admirable than us compared to another smart ring and Watch Fit 3 and Garmin Venu 3 (Test Report). Wake phase can better identify nextrings in a better way; In addition, the ring believes that we slept very quickly. We also had problems with other smartwatches in our test. Ultimately, it remains only an estimated value, for a detailed analysis you will need a sleeping laboratory. However, due to chunky design, the ring feels a bit uncomfortable in sleep. In addition, infrared sensor lights in the ring can interfere with your sleep – especially partner.

Battery and shop
Nexting has an impressive battery life. According to the manufacturer, it is possible for two weeks, in the test we came with a price of about twelve days. We have worn the ring almost continuously. To store, you put a smart ring in the case. It is connected to a charger through the USB-C cable (not included within the scope of delivery). A charging process takes about two hours.
price
The ERA-fit nextrings have a 349 euro RRP and currently decreased to 229 euros from the manufacturer. With code Heise10 The ring is spent only for our readers 219 EuroWhen you call the ring through the link, the code is automatically added and then put into a shopping cart.
conclusion
ERA-fit leaves a strong impression in a nextring test. The succulent battery life was particularly confident – the ring tested lasted for twelve days. The accuracy of pulse measurement is also impressive: even in intensive sports, worn on the middle or ring finger, rarely distracts from the people of high quality fitness trackers. This means that Nexting is the most accurate smart ring in our tests. In addition to pulse and blood oxygen, it also includes cardiac rate variation (HRV) and VO2 MX.
However, a clear weakness in the design is clear: the ring is comparatively chunky and heavy. People who take it for a long time can find it uncomfortable. This was the case in our test, especially when sleeping. It is a shame, because a smart ring is predetermined for the use of the night. In addition, the ring is fully recommended and also worth its money.
