As iOS 18 beta testers found, after installing the new operating system, widgets that have been used for years suddenly no longer exist in the “Today View”. This is because Apple will only support certain types of mini programs in the future. So legacy widgets will have to rely on it. That is Spotted by Apple blog 9to5Mac And was verifiable in beta.

They were there yesterday, they left today
Apple already introduced more modern widgets with iOS 14 SwiftUI based. However, the old mini-programs continued to be supported as long as they were used only within “Today” scene SwiftUI widgets then ended up on the lock screen, standby mode, and home screen as well, and interactivity was also added with iOS 17.
In the iOS 18 beta, legacy widgets are now turned off without warning. If they are active in Today View under iOS 17, they will no longer appear after the update. Apple also gives no indication that this is likely to confuse users. However, this may only be the case as part of the beta and Apple is still working on the associated warning dialog.
what can you do
Exactly which widgets will disappear from the “Today” view with iOS 18 can only be checked in iOS 17. However, they are quite recognizable because they have a slightly more old-fashioned design than SwiftUI widgets. In addition, they are always rectangles as wide as the screen and cannot display half the size. Finally, you can check yourself if it is an old widget: just try placing the widget on the home screen. If that doesn’t work, it’s old.
So users can only hope that their favorite widget is already up to date. iOS 14 was released in September 2020 – so developers had enough time to modernize their mini-programs. If this hasn’t happened yet, you can contact them and ask for it – or you’ll have to switch to another app. iOS 18 will be released in autumn, possibly in September. A public beta of the operating system is currently underway, you can find out how to participate here.
