The “privacy report” for Apple Intelligence remains without content – but why?

How often does Apple use cloud for their AI tasks and how many times is iPhone, MAC or iPad? This can be determined using an interesting integrated function, which is the privacy report. However, it remains empty to many users. It is not clear why this happens.

Transparency log does not show any request

Unlike its rivals such as Google, Anthropic or Openai, Apple tries to handle “on the device”, as apple intelligence as possible. This mainly provides data protection: there is no material in the group. However, if the local models are overwhelmed – which can occur in the case of image production in case of text position – Apple also turns into cloud. For this purpose, the group uses a particularly developed process called private cloud compute (PCC), virtually encrypted is calculated, ie no data access beyond the real user, even on the server. Nevertheless, Apple is transparent and has established a feature in Macos, iOS and iPados that reports users during PCC activities.

However, the report is often empty, even though Apple’s writing equipment is very actively used. Technical errors or lots of local AI

The manufacturers of Apple blog also stated that no editorial member has seen the confidentiality report so far. The MAC and I editorial team have a device active for Apple Intelligence.
