The petition “Social Save” demands support for alternative social networks

In a petition, about one hundred actors of culture, economy and media require strong propagation of alternative social networks to break the dominance of large IT companies. They need to support the existing alternative open platforms and fill it with materials produced with public funds.

The most prominent signators in the petition include composer Jan delay, writer Mark-Uwe Kling and journalist Nadia Zabora. Apart from some famous personalities, the project is also supported by the German Journalist Association and German journalists and journalists. A total of 35,000 supporters are demanded for the project.
