With the Slidefox NT they have an electric scooter in their range that doesn’t need to hide from the competition – quite the contrary. Visually, the Slidefox NT is extremely attractive and futuristic. Its frame is mostly made of matte silver and matte black. Some blue elements, such as a ring around the tires, add exciting accents. Overall, the e-scooter looks as if it was made from a single piece. Due to its unusual frame design, it has a high recognition value. The many openings in the frame make it ideal for common bicycle locks. The front suspension is somewhat reminiscent of the Xiaomi Mi 4 Ultra (test report) and looks really futuristic.

The Slidefox NT seems very sturdy. There is a sticker on the rear fender that says you should not climb on it. However, in the practical test, even a strong kick did not harm it. With a maximum payload of 125 kg, the e-scooter can carry even heavy people. The good: The handlebar is pleasantly thick and does not wobble. The stand is also integrated very elegantly into the frame.

The dimensions are 119 × 58 × 116 cm when opened and 119 × 58 × 55 cm when folded. The folding mechanism is unusual because the handlebar does not sit in place on the rear mudguard as is usually the case. Instead, a hook near the safety lever fixes the handlebar. The e-scooter can also be transported folded. Due to the heavy weight of 24.5 kg, this is not as much fun in the long run. However, this mechanism is suitable for occasional transport, for example by train or car.

The handlebar is very wide at 59 cm and has stylishly designed as well as non-slip handlebar grips. However, these are not ergonomically designed, so your hands may get tired on long journeys.

The indicators are located at the ends of the handlebars. In addition, the Slidefox NT also glows at the level of the rear wheel. This greatly increases visibility as the indicators can be seen clearly even from the side. The rear glowing indicators are slightly protruding, but flexible so they won’t break if you get stuck somewhere. The indicators are activated via two easily accessible buttons on the left side of the handlebar. Since they don’t turn off automatically, you have to remember to turn them off manually. The biggest advantage of the indicators: you no longer have to take your hand off the handlebar to signal a direction change. The throttle lever on the right is pleasantly smooth, so your thumb doesn’t get tired so quickly.

A large, bright LED display is stylishly integrated into the middle of the handlebar. It is still easy to read even in bright sunlight and displays the speed, battery level in the bars, light and support level. The front light is bright and can be adjusted in height. It sits at the top, directly under the handlebar. This is good because it illuminates the path better and the e-scooter can be seen even from a distance. Nice: The taillight also lights up when braking. Thus, following road users are warned.

There is also an app that can be used to install updates, among other things. You can also read your driving data such as speed or distance. Practical: An immobilizer can be activated. Nevertheless, the e-scooter should always be secured with a strong lock so that it cannot be easily taken away. The large and wide running board is rubberized. The 10-inch tires are an impressive 3 inches thick and grip really well. However, the front and rear suspension is a bit too tight. This can make driving on long stretches of dirt roads or uneven pavement uncomfortable. Still, it’s a long jump compared to e-scooters with no suspension. Curbs or paving stones are no problem.

The motor on the rear wheel is incredibly powerful. Its nominal power is 500 watts and its peak power is 1200 watts. This makes it one of the most powerful engines currently available in e-scooters. We could not find any information on the maximum newton meters. The motor accelerates the Slidefox NT to maximum speed in no time. It masters even steep slopes with ease. With a maximum speed of just over 20 km/h, it is within the legal limit.

There are mechanical disc brakes on the front and rear wheels. These automatically activate the engine brake. The braking effect is excellent, but it can also be easily controlled. This means you can stop quickly and safely at any time.

The Slidefox NT is available in two battery versions: 720 Wh and 912 Wh. We tested the version with the 912 Wh battery. According to Slidefox, you should be able to drive up to 87 km. However, this range was determined under ideal conditions: a light person traveling at moderate speed on a flat road in ideal weather conditions. In reality, the range is significantly less. Factors such as the driver’s weight, many slopes, high speeds, frequent starting and braking, and cold temperatures reduce the range. We still achieved a very good 40 km in the test. The power supply takes about 8 hours to fully charge.

The version with the smaller 720 Wh battery costs 999 euros. The variant with the larger 912 Wh battery is available for a limited time and costs 999 euros. Regular price for the top variant is 1179 Euros,

The Slidefox NT is a very successful e-scooter that is impressive both visually and technically. Its futuristic, attractive design attracts attention and gives it high recognition. Its feel is also pleasant due to its robust workmanship and high-quality materials. We particularly liked the standard turn signals at the front and rear, which provide a significant increase in safety. The extremely powerful motor makes the Slidefox NT accelerate vigorously and is really fun. The huge range of up to 87 km is also unique. The full suspension absorbs most bumps and ensures a comfortable ride.

The only point of criticism: the suspension is set a little too tightly and the high weight limits the transport options somewhat. Overall, the Slidefox NT is an absolute top model that impresses even more demanding users. The price is reasonable considering the performance offered.
