Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced a new “Pokémon” game for the iPhone. The title is called Pokemon TCG Pocket It can already be pre-ordered in the App Store and will be officially released at the end of October. It aims to digitize the trading card game and allow the respective cards to be collected. Users who open the application will receive two new packs every day.

The “Pocket Camp” version of another popular Nintendo title, “Animal Crossing,” will soon be discontinued, the game maker announced on its U.S. website. After seven years, it will end at the end of November. Instead of a freemium app including online services, there will be a paid offline version in the future. It should be “largely” consistent with the current version, but functions such as market boxes, gifts and visiting other users’ camping sites will no longer be available. Leaf Tickets, the in-game currency, also no longer work. “You cannot transfer these to the new app,” Nintendo warns: they must have already been released.
The new version will have no in-app sales or subscriptions. The game will no longer feature events that are part of the Pocket Camp service. The corresponding subscriptions will expire at the end of October, and the servers will be shut down afterwards. Saved games must be transferred to the new app if you have a Nintendo Account.
