People and their specialties: Week 34 photos

Fun, peace and excitement are just some of the emotions some people experience. This week’s photos show different characters and special moments that enrich their lives. You can find them by the sea, at the racetrack and on the soccer field. However, the way these environments present themselves is much more than the ordinary. The creativity of our gallery photographers opens up different perspectives that put each place in a special light and arouse curiosity.

Incredible peace in the picture angler By photofriend2000 This is a delight for anyone who appreciates such moments. The scene looks quite lonely, but peaceful at the same time. Anyone who, like the person pictured, chooses such a hobby also likes to be alone with their thoughts and not be surrounded by other people.

“My wife and I spent our holidays on the Danish Baltic Sea. That morning there was really fog on the horizon over the sea. There was also very little wind. I picked up my camera and went looking for a subject. This fisherman immediately caught my eye, “for me it’s a wonderful background,” the photographer says about the composition.

The fog and water merge into a minimalist gray surface that highlights the protagonist and his boat and puts them in the spotlight. The photographer deliberately chose the rule of thirds and created space on the left side to give the main subject enough room to breathe. All these factors create a beautiful composition that couldn’t have been better.

“I was in Bremerhaven for a week and took advantage of the blue hour in good weather. In addition to the well-known landmarks of the Shipping Museum, the radar tower, etc., the motif of the dike crowns with pedestrians,” Thomas Koppold (TPKO) says of the high-contrast scene in his photo, “The landward side towards the Weser is always nice. Here the yellow light of the setting sun comes in, which is ideal for showing the people walking on the embankment in silhouette against the light.” on the dam,

The beautiful color gradient from blue to yellow, the perspective and the silhouette give the photo the grace of a film scene. The photographer displays an incredible sense for the stylistic device of paper cuts.

You have to hold your breath for a moment when you… jump By Mike Schwalbach (mike_fj). The photographer himself describes in detail the daring jump of the two pilots in motorcycle and sidecar: “The sweaty heat and the adrenaline rush of the sidecar race merged into one unforgettable moment that day. Two motorcyclists soared into the air under the scorching sun. This photo captures the adrenaline-pumping moment of a sidecar race. The contrast between the riders’ protective clothing and the hazy surroundings creates a dynamic tension, while the passenger provides the necessary balance by clinging to the sidecar. The rider drives the motorcycle through the spectators at the edge of the track, who are only vaguely visible, underlining the intensity of the moment and the enthusiasm of the crowd.

with Mind Games JStoever chose a very apt title for his photo. The calm and gloomy atmosphere is emphasized very well by the minimalist design and the distance view. The individual in the photo remains anonymous due to the back view and thus symbolizes the loneliness that prevails in the scene. The two parts of the image merge due to the black and white implementation and the horizon appears even more unattainable.

Bullying Training

Young footballers look like little pawns on the green grass. Rainer von der Schlei poses with his photo Bullying Training A composition reminiscent of a video game. In addition, the lines of the playing field divide the parts of the picture and highlight the boy in the center circle. The elevated position from which the image was taken plays an important role and makes the graphic design even stronger, almost like a photo of a hidden object.

“The St. Pauli Raboucken training ground is directly adjacent to the Millerntor stadium in the heart of the St. Pauli district and is covered with artificial turf. Now you can admire it and take photos from a high altitude from the St. Pauli bunker. I took advantage of this perspective and adopted this basic position to take my picture, all you have to do is observe it and then trigger it at the right time,” says Rainer Schlei about the creation.

Two TVs.

Thomas Brahtel took his picture Two TVs during a tour of Poland on the pier in the seaside resort of Sopot. He explains the idea behind the composition: “In my picture I tried to emphasize the vastness of the sea, which is one of its main features. So I left a lot of space for the sky and made the two “televisions” relatively small in the picture.”

The small elements on the horizon make everything seem far away, but not out of reach. In this way, the distance is emphasized even more and serves as a solid part of the image idea. The two people in the picture break up the otherwise minimalist design somewhat and, with their dark clothing, create a point of contrast that draws the viewer’s attention.

The moment when German-Finnish ice hockey player Sami Pauli Blomqvist As the cat enters the ice, the gallery photographer has captured the cat eating. The blur in the background shows the player and draws attention to his face. Looking downwards increases concentration, which is very important before the action ahead. This picture shows a calmness that one does not get to see at an ice hockey game in a packed stadium. But here the photographer has captured the moment in such a way that you can imagine the player blocking out all the distractions around him and is in his own mental tunnel.
