OUKITEL WP200 Pro in Testing

OUKITEL WP200 Pro combines chic design, OLED and 5G with external suitability. The second display even becomes a headset or smartwatch. More in the test.

Outdoor smartphones are often considered chunky and functional, but Okitel WP200 Pro comes in a comparatively chic design and reminiscent of a simple smartphone compared to a specific outdoor chunk. But the actual highlight is on the back: a second display that can not only be used as a information screen, but also acts as a monoral Bluetooth headset. If you want, you can also wear it as a smartwatch with an attached bracelet – actually an unusual solution.

The rest of the equipment also seems promising: an OLED display with good image quality, a quick processor with 5G and Android 15. In addition, there is a 108 megapixel camera. You can already limit it at market launch 525 Euro On the manufacturer. But how well Okitel WP200 Pro does in everyday life? Our test report explains this.

Visually, OUKITEL WP200 Pro looks less martial than many other outdoor smartphones. The most striking design element is large, round camera module, which is standing out of about 7 mm and reminds of a Chinese key model from Xiaomi. There is another performance in the middle – later. The angular frame is made of aluminum, while corrugated back is made of plastic and provides good grip. However, there is no rubber coating and connections are free.

With a weight of 311 grams, the weight of the WP200 Pro is much higher than the traditional smartphone. Its dimensions of 163.6 × 77.9 × 13.7 mm also make it a large -scale equipment. Nevertheless, it is slightly more compact and easier than many other outdoor smartphones. Volume rockers and power buttons sit on the right, while on the left have a red, programable button. It can be covered with three tasks – for a short, long or double press.

The greatest feature of the WP200 Pro is the second performance on the back. But it is much higher than a simple additional screen for widget, information or time. It is an unusual combination of Bluetooth headset and smartwatch-yes, which is heard correctly!

The small display can be removed from the smartphone on a button push and inserted into a supplied bracelet and bracket. Coupled through the “da fit” app, it becomes a fitness tracker. Alternatively, it can be in the ear, as there is a headphone and microphone-an exciting feature behind the mini display that we have not seen yet.

As it should be for an outdoor smartphone, Oukitel WP200 Pro is extremely strong. According to the manufacturer, it falls up to 1.5 meters on hard underground. In our tests, it was really very resistant and did not cause damage even after several fall.

In addition, the device is certified according to IP69K, which means that it is not only dust and waterproofing, but also with hot water and high pressure. The American military standard MIL-STD-810H confirms resistance to bumps and vibration-side situations for use in the forest. As an additional additional, oukitel adds a transparent protective cover made of plastic. It did not bring it, and it should also break instead of a cell phone.

The outdoor smartphone with OLED display is still a rareness-Okitel WP200 Pro makes a satisfactory exception here. The panel provides strong contradictions, dark black and vibrant colors. The perspective stability is also confident. However, the screen shows slightly blue color, which sometimes makes the image look cool.

With a fresh rate of 120 Hz, the smartphone ensures a smooth performance in liquid animation and game. The 6.7 -inch diagonal oukitel combines with a resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels. It provides a sharp picture with high pixel density of 394 ppi.

However, there is a improvement capacity with maximum brightness. Our measurement resulted in only about 530 notes. Although the outdoor screen is read, the brightness is not directly enough in the sun – a large decrease. Unfortunately, many outdoor smartphones fight this problem.

The camera’s heart is 108 megapixel main lens (f/1.89). It is complemented by a more symbolic 2-megapixel macrochemera (f/2.2) and a single lens-one single lens would have been sufficient for the deep-faster generation. Optical image stabilization is missing. The 32-megapixel front camera sits on a punch-hal run on the display.

In the daylight, the main camera provides decent recording, but weakens with a dynamic range: bright or dark image areas quickly lose details. Up to a double zoom, recording remains usable, and the picture also becomes clearly pixelted. In the dark, the quality of the image falls significantly – with only additional light sources, such as the street lamps, are slightly recognizable.

Macro recording suffers from low resolution and has a low -level and staining effects. Video 4K can be recorded in 30 FPS. 32-megapixel front camera provides good selfie-but only with adequate light.

The Oukitel WP200 Pro is surprised with its strong performance for an outdoor smartphone. This is made possible by MediaTek Demistance 8200. In our test, the device in PCmark receives about 15,000 points-one value that almost reaches the flagship model. It scores 1,700 points in 3DMark Wildlife Extreme, which also makes it suitable for mobile gaming. Without the development of excessive heat, the performance remains stable, even in prolonged stress. The WP200 Pro is one of the most powerful outdoor smartphones from our tests.

Another highlight is succulent memory: the device provides a rare vision in this device class – 1 TB memory (UFS 4.0) and 24 GB RAM of 24 GB RAM. There is no microSD extension, but you should hardly bother in view of large internal memory. Dual sim operation with two Nano-SIMs is possible, but ESIM is not supported.

WP200 Pro supports 5G, Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC. The only Downer: The USB-C connection works only with USB 2.0, which is a sub-discharge for rapid data broadcasting. A 3.5 mm clink is missing, an infrared port. The fingerprint sensor on the display works firmly. With respect to navigation, the smartphone scores with an exact location on GPS, Glonas, Beidau and Galileo – the accuracy test was one meter. The quality of the telephone is overall clean -cotton, but sometimes it seems slightly tiny. The same applies to integrated loudspeakers.

A real innovation is the second performance on the back. Unlike Fosibot outdoor smartphones, which use such additional performances for widgets, is a completely new concept behind it: small performance hides a integrated true wireless headphone. So far, this has not been the case – and we are amazed at this creative solution. However, the sound quality is dull while calling.

But this is not all that: The second display can also be used as a smartwatch. A suitable bracelet includes the device to transport the small screen as a cheap fitness tracker. In addition to time, it shows health data such as pulse and sleep analysis, causing measured values ​​wrong – equal to cheap trackers below 30 euros. On the phone through the display, however, only works when you put it in the ear. However, the change between the mode works smoothly.

The OUKITEL WP200 Pro has already been distributed with Android 15. The user interface is strongly reminiscent of vanilla android, and fortunately does without producer blotware.
