The Nvidia app has been available as a beta version since the beginning of the year, but now the world’s most valuable company has removed the beta label. Until now, control of Nvidia graphics cards was two-way: users could make simple optimizations for video games in the modern GeForce Experience interface, and drivers could also be managed and updated through it. However, system-wide features like color management, monitor settings, and advanced fine-tuning of GPU features had to be regulated in the classic Nvidia Control Panel.
The Nvidia app largely brings both programs together into a similar interface. In the Nvidia app you can make GSync settings and set the resolution and display refresh rate. Additionally, more granular settings such as frame rate limits can be made for individual games.

If you still want to do it the traditional way, you can still use the Nvidia Control Panel. It will not be replaced by the new app, but will remain as a complement. You can access the Control Panel by right-clicking the Nvidia app logo in the taskbar. Additional Control Panel features will be added to the Nvidia app over time.
If you don’t have anything to do with advanced settings and just want to use the app to update drivers, you may still be happy with the new app: Unlike GeForce Experience, you don’t need to log in to it. There is no Nvidia app. The new program can be used even without an Nvidia account.
