Big announcements for Nintendo fans: During a livestream on Tuesday evening, the Japanese company announced “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond” and “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.” Both games are still set to be released for the current version of the Nintendo Switch.
In “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom”, Zelda, not Link, will be the main character for the first time. Unlike “Breath of the Wild” and “Tears of the Kingdom”, “Echoes of Wisdom” is otherwise a more classic branch. The game is played from a bird’s eye view, letting you control cute 3D avatars in the game world. Among other things, it involves solving puzzles in the environment using magically created objects.

“The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom” is set to launch for the Nintendo Switch on Sept. 26.
Metroid Prime 4 is coming in 2025
Strictly speaking, “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond” is not a new announcement: the action game was announced years ago, but there has been hardly any news lately. With “Metroid Dread”, Nintendo has now launched another title in its “Metroid” franchise. But now there is more than just a sign of life from “Metroid Prime 4” – namely a new trailer and even a release period.
“Metroid Prime 4” will hit the market next year, but there are no more details yet. The Switch is named as the release platform. This is not necessarily the case, as Nintendo is currently working on a successor to the hybrid console. Nintendo has already made it clear that the console should be presented by March 2025. According to reports, Nintendo is working on the Switch concept with the new console. However, it is not clear whether the new Switch will also be able to play games for the current Switch.

“Metroid Prime 4: Beyond” will be a first-person shooter. Apart from aliens and explosions, a view of the forest can also be seen in the trailer.
