iPhone: Three models are being discontinued, but the old iron remains

This approach is partly surprising because Apple leaves in the program devices that are not compatible with Apple intelligence – and removes models that have mastered AI technology.

iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are being shipped

Because: In the future, in addition to the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, Apple will only sell the standard versions of the iPhone 14 and 15 as well as the iPhone SE 3. This means: There are only the latest models that are ready for Apple intelligence. The iPhone 14, 15 and SE do not master the AI ​​system – simply because they only have 6 GB of RAM. It is therefore surprising that Apple is removing the only two models that have mastered Apple intelligence so far, namely the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.

It would have been more logical to remove the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus from the range and leave the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Those interested in Apple intelligence are therefore forced to switch directly to the iPhone 16 models, whose price starts at 949 euros. It does not help that Apple wants to make the older models cheaper. Apparently Apple does not want the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max to compete directly with the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models.

These devices are still available in stores

As usual, Apple is canceling iPhone models and no longer offering them officially on the website, but there is usually still stock in their own stores.
