Instagram: Users can add music to their profile

A new feature on Instagram brings back memories of the early social media era. Users can now put songs on their profile pages. The “Profile Song” feature is very reminiscent of a feature on MySpace – a platform that reached its peak about 15 years ago.

Instagram partnered with musician Sabrina Carpenter to promote this feature According to US IT blog The Verge This way a new song is also introduced. This feature is available in the Insta client for Android and iOS, but it is apparently not yet active on the web.
