Dr. Volker Zotta, editor-in-chief of Heise-Online (@DocZet), Marcus Will and Malte Kirchner (@maltekir) talk about the following topics in this edition of #heiseshow:

  • Roadmap set: This is how the US wants to advance connected cars – The US government has unveiled a plan for connected vehicles. By 2036, all national highways in the United States should be equipped so that cars can communicate with each other and with the transportation infrastructure. What are the goals set? And how realistic are they?
  • Full speed: Google wants to cheer up tired traffic lights with AI – Google has tested a new machine learning system to optimize traffic light switching. The initial results are comparatively promising. How exactly should it work? What data is used for this? And can it really improve traffic flow or does it also create new problems?
