A game for months goes on without any problem, and then suddenly nothing works: some players of the online shooter experience this situation on “Heldivor 2” PC. Developer Earohed has clearly changed a query in the background, so that the old CPU users no longer use the title.
Report, among other things, EurogammerAccordingly, at the beginning of the Earohed game sets a check for support from AVX2 – the CPU vector command installed on PC does not support the expansion, the game does not run. It mainly affects the CPU which is more than ten years old. According to the Eurogammer, an Earohde Community Manager has now registered on the discord and promised to solve the problem.

It is not clear how this situation has come. First, the voluntary mediators of the community defended the blocks of the old CPU with the right signal that these processors did not meet the minimum requirements. However, there is a problem with this argument: so far, “Heldivor 2” has been on these systems. It has not been explained why it should be replaced one year after release.
Later, a community manager on discord wrote about “solution to this problem” that is already in work. The word also speculates whether it was a deliberate remedy from the arrow, which was later recognized as a missile, or just from the beginning. There is still no timeline when older CPU players can again play “Relidivers 2”.
“Healthy 2” is not a separate case: “Civilization 7”, published a few months ago, also requires AVX2 support for a processor. Unlike the “Health Divers 2”, the strategy game was not able to run on the old system, which caused the enthusiasm more alert from the beginning. These matters also show that you have to take hardware-tang requirements seriously-only focus on net display data.
