Even before the event, it became clear that Samsung has once again chosen artificial intelligence as a selling point for the Galaxy S25. “The world is your oyster with Galaxy AI”, Samsung made headlines on its event pageWhere live stream will also be shown on Wednesday evening.

Samsung’s AI systems aim to offer “a diverse world of great possibilities,” Samsung adds, “by responding to your daily needs in an intuitive and natural way.” Samsung is also promising an “advanced camera” with a “Provisional Engine” that can capture authentic skin tones even in difficult lighting conditions. Samsung is also touting the most powerful processor ever in the Galaxy series.

This would be the Snapdragon 8 Elite introduced in October, which brings Qualcomm’s Orion core to a smartphone for the first time. These cores were originally designed for use in Windows on ARM notebooks. Unlike the Snapdragon X Elite, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is said to have improved Orion cores; Qualcomm talks about the second generation.

Qualcomm also promises more AI performance for the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Cell phones with the new Qualcomm chip should, among other things, be able to process more complex and context-dependent requests better than previous cell phone SoCs. Samsung writes in a blog entry Furthermore, future Galaxy cell phones should “become true AI companions” and be able to handle text, language and images efficiently. Samsung clearly wanted to provide concrete examples and use cases on Wednesday.

Apart from the new Galaxy S25 generation phones, Samsung may also show off new wearables at the event, possibly including an Android-based AR headset previously known as Project Mohan.
