Version 1.4 of Open Source System Freedos, which gives PC and laptop simple operating system functions, is available for download. Freedos (originally PD-dos) was launched by Jim Hall as an MS-DOS alternative in late June 1994 and is under GNU General Public License (GNU GPL). Freedos 1.0 appeared in 2006.
