The first person shooter “Metro 2033 Redux” is currently independent: Developer celebrates the 15th anniversary of Clostrophobic Horror Shooter with 4A games free offers. Until 16 April at 5 pm. You can keep the game for free in steam, gog or exbox library. Once it is placed there, you can play it permanently for free.
“Metro 2033” is once the first task of Ukrainian Game Developer 4A Games. It is based on books of the same name by Russian writer Dmitry Glukhovski: after an atomic war, the remaining people are back into Moscow’s underground metro system, where they fight for survival.
The players are working as an Aryom with the enemy’s human groups and mutants. Most of the game is in dark metro tunnels, but radioactive surface travel also occurs on the plan. “Metro 2033” and both successors were mainly praised for their Makabre game world and immersive gameplay.

Remaster Edition Redux
“Metro 2033” was released in March 2010. Four years later, the 4A Games now now launched the Free Redex variants, which, among other things, improved the first person shooter’s technology. Steam specifies the standard price of “Metro 2033 Redux” with 20 euros, but it is only half true: “Metro 2033 Redux” is regularly discounted for only 2 euros. Still: The game was not independent. Only the standard version without Redux reforms was free.
In 2014, the 4A Games established a second studio in Malta, which is still working on the “Metro” series. The remaining studio in Kiev became independent and now works under the name Ribern. It works on a ego shooter called “La Quimera”, which is going to come in the market soon. Meanwhile, the 4A game team on Malta is working on a new “metro” offshoot, but only some reliable information about the situation.
