It can be quite annoying when it becomes difficult to take off the jacket when leaving the house in the morning. It seems that Apple’s former “design god” and chief design officer Jonathan “Jony” Ive has had this problem too. At least now he has solved the problem once and for all: his design studio Love fromThe self-described “creative group of designers, architects, musicians, filmmakers, writers, engineers, and artists” has teamed up with luxury winter clothing maker Moncler to develop a new button.

It is being used for the first time in the new down vest, which can also be made into a field jacket, parka or rain poncho if desired. The two parts are joined by corresponding new buttons. The new “Duo Button” is based on magnets and makes replacing the outer jacket “child’s play” Fast Company magazine reports,
I emphasized that they were not interested in any kind of egotistical ambition to “disrupt (the button)”. Instead, it was a “very gentle, modest exploration” of the concept. Still, Fast Company writes that it’s a kind of “MagSafe for buttons.”

need a loom for bed sheets
The project has now resulted in a new “capsule collection” with Moncler. The colours are unusual, as they say; they are “gender-neutral pastel tones”. These should be particularly light. The “three-in-one shell jacket” is expected to go on sale starting September 24.
According to Fast Company, LoveFrom and Moncler worked on development for four years. The jacket itself is made from recycled nylon, folded to resemble a kimono, and made from one large piece of fabric with no visible seams. So production only works with looms that are actually meant for bed covers. Moncler has not yet mentioned the price of the jacket, but given Brand’s standard prices Expect it to cost several thousand euros. Ive is also likely to have a limited collection. LoveFrom has already collaborated with Airbnb and Ferrari, among others. However, the contract with Apple fell through.
