The structure is very easy: since the handlebars can be twisted, no screws are required. It also fits an e-scooter in a comparatively small shipping box. Important: Tire pressure should be checked before the first trip. We recommend wearing a helmet in every trip.

NIU KQI 100F blind color has been thanked to lots of black and gray without highlight. With dimensions of 115 × 59 × 123 cm, it is also quite compact. The running board with 44 × 13 cm is also quite small.

The KQI 100F handler may be slightly wide. A turn signal is sitting at the end, but there is no additional turn signal on the back of the e-scooter. The performance is not kept in the middle, but is placed on the right and looks a bit. In direct sunlight, it strongly reflects and then it is difficult to read.

There are three buttons for functions on the display/closed, step changes, turn signals and lights. The brake handle on the left connects electrical motor brakes with a drum brake on the front side. This combination works well, even though we already had e-scooters in the test that came in a standstill. A gentle braking is possible without any problem. The bell on the left looks a bit chunky and is not integrated in a very elegant manner. The gas ring on the right is pleasant smooth.

In the middle of the handler, an alternative mobile phone holder can be attached directly by NIU – a practical accessory for everyone who wants to keep an eye on your smartphone while driving.

The front light sits high, which increases visibility in road traffic. It is quite bright, but cannot be adjusted in the beam angle. However, the default has been well chosen. The rear lights are permanently switched and there is also light when braking.

KQI 100F comes with an app that enables some adjustment. This includes early speed (between 3 and 6 km/h), repetition strength to expand the lifespan of the battery and the maximum load range (80, 90 or 100 percent). Driving characteristics can also be adjusted – from Chilly Until Wild A adjustable top speed in acceleration and between 5 and 20 km/h.

KQI 100F is a fairly small e-scooter, which may be uncomfortable for older people in a long time. The handberlar is located close to the body due to the bent angle of handber, which can make the journey uncomfortable for a long time.

With a diameter of 9.5 inch and 2.3 inch, air tires simultaneously ensure a passive driving experience on the bumpy routes at the front with a 36 mm double piston suspension. Nevertheless, the difference of 10-inch air strips is clearly noticeable. An additional suspension on the rear wheel would be desirable. However, the combination for regular travel in the city is sufficient and sometimes revolve around the areas of the area.

The KQI 100F is thus close to the legally allowed maximum.

At 243 wh, the KQI 100F battery is relatively small. According to NIU, it should be sufficient to the range of 29 km, but it was measured under ideal conditions. In fact, we come up to about 20 km with 80 kg payload, cold weather, quick drive and lots of stop-end-goes. The e-scooter then has to return to the net.

The battery is not removable. The power supply supplied is easily attached to accessible charging plugs in the middle of the footboard. The loading time is 5 – 6 hours.
