Good news for card game enthusiasts as toy and puzzle publisher Ravensburger has announced its first product fully localized in Spanish and will also be included in the ‘Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game’ line during next fall 2024. It’s aboutDisney Lorkana TCG Prologue‘, an experience with which to learn to play progressively, specially designed for all those who are new to the world of collectible card games. To begin with, ‘Preludio’ will include the first 132 ‘Disney Lorcana’ cards localized in Spanish, which until today were only available in English, German, French and Italian.
Playing with the preamble
The choice of this package was not accidental. In fact, and according to the editor himself, it is designed to be easy to learn and accessible for players of any age and with any level of skill, that is, it promises to be a gateway to the magic kingdom of Lorcana. The configuration that will be available for sale next autumn apparently includes everything necessary for two players to start playing, since, as we mentioned, no prior experience is necessary. In fact, you start with a base deck of 30 cards and little by little you will build up to a complete deck of 60 cards.
Story Breakdown (4/4): Waterfall without a planAdditionally, the box includes several accessories, such as damage counters, character pawns and a handy game board. A rulebook with step-by-step instructions to understand the rules and mechanics of the game, a guide through the different stages and booklets with tips for using each deck also come. The rest of the range, such as the starter decks or the booster packs, will continue to be available in Spain only in English.
Lorkana Trading Card Game
First released in August 2023, ‘Disney Lorkana TCG’ is a popular card game based on the fictional kingdom of Lorkana. Here players will take on the role of Illuminators and use magical ink to summon a team of Disney characters known as “Glimmers”, who appear in both familiar and fantastical ways. Its designers argue that the game is designed to be easy for novices to learn, but also offer strategic depth for more experienced players. Four sets have been released so far (The First Chapter, Rise of the Floodborne, Into the Inklands and Ursula’s Return), with ‘Shimmering Skies’ and a second set due to follow in 2024.
