Developer conference BetterCode() offers six workshops for a .NET 9.0 deep dive

According to Microsoft, the new release .NET 9.0 will appear on November 12, 2024. Six online workshops in November and December

Rainer Stropeck will conduct the first two workshops. On November 21, participants will learn more about the new language version C# 13.0 for the first time. This completely practical workshop has no slides, just code. A week later, the workshop instructor tackles artificial intelligence. The practice-based workshop “AI with ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI and Copilot” is also almost 100 percent practical. Participants can choose to actively participate or just watch.

Two workshops are also offered by Dr. Holger Schwittenberg. How modern data access can be achieved with Entity Framework Core 9.0 is the topic of his workshop on December 4. It is entirely a demonstration including live coding by the expert. Participants get the opportunity to ask individual questions. Following the same concept, a workshop on developing single-page web apps and hybrid cross-platform apps with Blazor 9.0 will take place on December 6. In addition to .NET and C# knowledge, basic knowledge of JavaScript and HTML is also required.

Andre Kramer will be dedicated to cross-platform development in his workshop on December 2: an app will be created using live coding using the .NET Multi-Platform App UI (.NET MAUI) framework. Among other things, participants will learn how to create screen masks with .NET MAUI and how to use the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) pattern.

If you are interested in Web API with ASP.NET Core, Christian Wenz’s workshop is the right place for you. On December 5, implementation will begin based on the basics of REST theory. Participants must have a computer with the latest version of .NET 9.0 and Visual Studio available. As an alternative to Visual Studio, it is also possible to use Visual Studio Code or JetBrains Rider.
