Version 1.0 of the open-source tool ClipCascade is available – according to semantic version numbering, the tool is considered stable and production ready. ClipCascade takes the steps to automatically sync clipboards across multiple devices. End-to-end encryption aims to protect users’ privacy so that data can be shared securely between different workstations.

Clipboard synchronization across devices
Features include login authentication and synchronization of clipboard contents. ClipCascade offers Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems as well as a mobile app for Android. A Docker image allows you to host your own instance, and a web interface allows you to monitor activity in real time, as described in the GitHub repository. Advanced settings allow customization options and update notifications ensure the software is up to date.
What does version 1.0 bring?
With the new version, ClipCascade expands its functionality and now also supports macOS. The update also fixes some error messages and offers automatic adjustment of the login form as well as so-called heartbeat signals to stabilize the connection. For this purpose, periodic signals are generated that indicate whether the connection is working properly or not. To update the software, users can search for updates directly in the app.
