Hot on the heels of the long-delayed launch of the Q6 e-tron, Volkswagen Group is rushing to quickly deliver Premium Platform Electric (PPE) for other models. From the end of the year, customers can also order the group’s most technologically advanced electric car base SUV coupe in the Q6 e-tron Sportback. The new variant was introduced at the Paris Motor Show.

“Sloping roofline” reminiscent of the first TT, Audi itself writes Dear readers, please decide how close or far this bold interpretation comes to the truth. It is certain that the coupe has also become a gorgeous car. At 4.77 meters long and 1.97 meters wide, and 3.7 cm flatter than an SUV: the Q6 Sportback is also aimed at those interested in a larger electric car. Audi promises generous space. However, measured against external dimensions, the trunk volume of 511 to 1373 liters is at best an average value. Towing capacity in the Q6 e-tron quattro is 2.4 tonnes, in all other variants it is 2 tonnes.
drive
At the moment, four variants are planned in the drive sector, all of which are already known about the SUV. These include two rear-wheel and two all-wheel drive versions, which, however, cannot be independently combined with the two batteries – Audi has, so to speak, pre-selected.

It is noteworthy that despite the same batteries Audi makes a small difference in charging power between rear-wheel and all-wheel drive: instead of 270, it is 260 kW for versions with only one motor in the rear. In practice, this difference is likely to be negligible, as Audi has done much not to shine with small peak values, but to enable high charging performance within a wide window.

prices
The full-size coupe can be ordered from the end of the year. The basic model is sold from 65,900 euros, with rear-wheel drive and a larger battery it is 71,200 euros. The combination of all-wheel drive and large battery costs at least 77,100 euros, and the top model SQ6 costs at least 96,200 euros. “It should therefore be worth the customer a premium of around 2000 euros compared to a second-row SUV.”
