2024 was an exciting year for Apple: the AI system Apple Intelligence was released, the Vision Pro came to market and the Mac mini M4, a new compact desktop, was introduced – among many other product launches. But what’s next for Apple in 2025? An overview of the devices we expect in the coming months.

Spring: iPhone SE 4, iPad 11, HomePod accessories
Various new equipment should debut in March or early April. After a long wait, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be a new entry-level smartphone with Face ID, its own Apple 5G modem, and Apple Intelligence support. iPad 11 with Apple Intelligence is also believed to be set. A HomePod with a display may also appear in the spring. Alternatively, pure home accessories with screens could also be envisioned, which would be a new product category for Apple. There is also speculation about an Apple Doorbell or Apple Camera.
New third-generation AirPods Pro accessories are expected – exactly when is still unclear. You can get heart rate tracking for the first time. A new version of the AirPort Wi-Fi router, which Apple buried years ago, is less likely.
Mac: business models, Air and M5 notebooks
When it comes to Macs, Apple has had to bring several models up to the M4 version. This initially applies to the MacBook Air, which is expected to arrive in early spring. Alternatively, an introduction at WWDC in the summer would also be possible. The Mac Studio and Mac Pro are stuck on M2 for now. As soon as the M4 Ultra becomes available, both workstations can be updated accordingly, and in the case of the Mac Studio also with the existing M4 Max. When it comes to the M5, things will probably only continue in the fall. Here’s what to expect from the new MacBook Pro model. However, hopes of seeing an OLED display in a professional notebook for the first time may be disappointed.
It is still unclear whether there will be new models of the Air and Pro series in addition to the iPad 11. Apple may postpone the upgrade to the M3 (Air) and M5 (Pro) for a year or so – if there are new models, May would be a good date. The iPad mini, which was released in Generation 7 in 2024, is unlikely to be replaced.
iPhone 17 and Apple Watch 11 are in the fall
The new iPhones will be available again in the autumn. A new form factor is also expected, in addition to the 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models, which have better processors, new cameras and internal optimizations. The “17 Air” or “17 Slim” is said to be the thinnest iPhone to date. It is likely to appear in place of the iPhone 16 Plus successor and point a way towards a foldable iPhone.
Little is known about the Apple Watch Series 11, except that it may have a blood pressure sensor for the first time and may support 5G. The third generation of the Apple Watch Ultra is expected in 2024 as Apple only equips the model series with a new color. The Apple Watch SE can also be updated – with a new processor (system-in-a-package). Expected accessories include a new Magic Mouse – supposedly with voice recognition. Like the popular trackers of the AirTag series, the Vision Pro may appear in a slightly improved second version.
