Apple just introduced new mac mini, M4 and enhanced with the new M4 Pro, which delivers high performance in a 12.7 cm wide size. With the M4, the CPU speed is 1.8 times faster than the M1 model, and the GPU is 2.2 times faster. And the M4 Pro takes on more demanding workloads. The model with the M4 Pro includes Thunderbolt 5 for faster data transfers.
mac mini is Designed for Apple Intelligence And is known for its environmental progress, as it is Apple’s first carbon-neutral Mac, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from its manufacturing process, materials, transportation, and customer use by more than 80%.
The new model, priced at €719 with 16 GB of memory, can be reserved from today, and will be available from November 8.
very nice little one
According to data provided by Apple, the new Mini reduces its size compared to its predecessor with a design measuring 12.7 cm on a side. This ultra-compact format is possible due to the energy efficiency of the integrated chips and a thermal architecture that circulates air through different levels of the system and flows through the base.
Compared to the best-selling desktop PC in its price range, the Mac Mini is 6 times faster at just one-twentieth the size. The Mac mini with M4 offers higher power and includes a 10-core CPU and integrated memory starting at 16 GB.
Mac mini with the M4 Pro chip has the world’s fastest CPU cores for single-thread processes. With up to 14 cores, including ten performance and four efficiency cores, it delivers stunning multi-threaded performance. With up to 20 cores, the M4 Pro’s GPU is twice as powerful as the M4, and for the first time, both chips bring hardware-accelerated ray tracing to the Mac mini. The Neural Engine in the M4 Pro chip is more than 3x faster than the Mac mini with M1, so Apple Intelligence models reach remarkable speeds on the device.

The M4 Pro supports up to 64GB of integrated memory and 273GB/s of memory bandwidth, twice as much as any PC chip for AI, accelerating artificial intelligence processes. Additionally, it supports Thunderbolt 5, which provides data transfers up to 120 GB/s on the Mac mini and more than twice the performance of Thunderbolt 4.
connectivity
The new Mac mini has a ton of ports on the front, including two USB-C ports that support USB 3 and a jack for connecting high-impedance headphones. On the back, it has three ports: Thunderbolt 4 on the M4 models and Thunderbolt 5 on the M4 Pro models. It comes with Gigabit Ethernet as standard and can be configured with 10Gb Ethernet to increase connection speeds. It also has an HDMI port for connecting an HDMI television or monitor without the need for an adapter. The Mac mini model with M4 supports two 6K monitors or one 5K monitor, while the model with M4 Pro supports three 6K monitors at 60Hz, which translates to more than 60 million pixels.
first carbon neutral mac
The new Mac mini is Apple’s first carbon-neutral Mac.
It is made of more than 50% recycled materials, including 100% recycled aluminum in the case, 100% recycled gold in all Apple printed circuit boards, and 100% recycled rare earth in all magnets. 100% of the electricity used to make the Mac mini is renewable energy. Apple has invested in renewable energy projects to offset all the electricity consumed when charging the Mac mini. To reduce emissions generated from its distribution, Apple prefers low-emission modes of transportation such as sea transportation. Together, these initiatives help reduce the environmental impact of the Mac mini by more than 80%. To offset small amounts of remaining emissions, Apple applies high-quality carbon credits from natural projects, such as in its Restore Fund.
In another advancement for the Mac mini, the packaging is now made entirely of fiber, bringing Apple closer to its goal of eliminating plastic from packaging by 2025.
