Why is an airtag better than a cheap Bluetooth key finder?
Open the iPhone app, play sound on the kichen and track it after listening-it works with a classic finder as well as an airtag. The condition for both is that Little Helper is located for smartphones and audio in Bluetooth range, ie sofa is not slipped under cushion. As maximum expulsion, it is possible for 40 meters, but in practice usually is less than half.
